What is EnterpriseMail Team Edition?

It's a complete business email and groupware system. The email component is feature-rich, with full IMAP, SMTP, POP, and webmail support, including anti-virus, anti-spam, and advanced management features for forwards, groups, auto-responders, and more. EnterpriseMail Team Edition also comes with an Outlook connector component that allows Microsoft Outlook to automatically synchronize and share calendars, tasks, and contacts with other users. An advanced webmail client has also been added as a tool when away from the office. Designed to eliminate the need for a central Exchange server, EnterpriseMail Team Edition is an efficient, effective, and inexpensive way to provide groupware messaging and collaboration for the small to mid-sized business. Larger companies may also want to explore our EnterpriseMail Global Edition product.

Does EnterpriseMail include Outlook?

No. You must purchase Microsoft Outlook separately if you do not already have a licensed copy.

Is Outlook required?

No. EnterpriseMail works with any email client, and our webmail site allows you to use any compatible browser instead of a mail program. Some of the advanced groupware features are only available within Outlook.

What versions of Outlook are supported by the Connector?

Outlook 2000 and higher versions are supported by the Connector. Outlook Express is not supported. Some plugin features are only available in Outlook 2003 and higher.

How does the Connector work?

The Outlook Connector for EnterpriseMail Team Edition works as a plugin to Outlook. Users run an installer program in order to extend Outlook with the Team Edition features. This installer is lightweight and extends Outlook's ability to create shared calendars, tasks, and contacts and synchronize them with our EnterpriseMail servers. The Outlook Connector uses licensed software provided by Bynari, Inc, a leading provider of Outlook extensibility tools, and has been customized uniquely for EnterpriseMail Team Edition.

What is the setup process like?

Setup is straightforward, however every client has concerns about a seamless transition to a new email service. Our engineers will help you create and deploy EnterpriseMail efficiently. Setup is a matter of client configuration and proper DNS planning. We have several automation tools to help with client configuration, and we will help you with a seamless DNS transition.

Is your software easy to uninstall?

Yes.

What if only some of my users have Outlook?

That's ok. EnterpriseMail Team Edition is also available per-user when combined with our standard EnterpriseMail service. Please call our sales team and ask for a custom quote.

Is EnterpriseMail Team Edition the same as Exchange?

EnterpriseMail Team Edition offers many of the same features as an Exchange server. Because it runs on IMAP and iCal standards, EnterpriseMail Team Edition is an alternative groupware and collaboration solution that is a less expensive alternative to Exchange.
